Kirby has a new look!

Kirby's Epic Yarn Screenshot
I like the old games of Kirby, your a pink blob who suck enemies up and gain their powers. Well this time Nintendo decides to go differently with Kirby. I never played this game but I am definately interested. The style alone makes me think that it is pretty interesting. The new look is very colorful and appealing. Kirby's Epic Yarn Screenshot
Because of the new style, the traditional way of playing Kirby is not in the game. He cannot consume enemies and take their powers in the same manner. Though this game definately looks like its mainly for kids the game has recieved many high reviews and is definately a new approach for this game. I hope to get my hands on it and try it out. It is very great that Nintendo would try to be different in all their games but I think this one game definately stands out in being different and new.

Fall Out: New Vegas

Finally the long awaited RPG has finally been released. Its predecessor Fallout 3 has received the Game of the year awards from several critics. This is a single player RPG that takes place after a nuclear apocalypse. I have yet to get my hands on this new game. But so far it has received good reviews maybe not as spectacular as its predecessor. It is a remarkable game that deserves to be checked out. Look out for when I talk more about this awesome game and hopefully get my hands on it.

Single Player Vs. Multiplayer

Many console games now have online multiplayer features. It seems these days a game can have a mediocre single player campaign mode but a explosive online mode. So what do many gamers consider a great game. Would it be a game with a great multiplayer mode such as Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2? Or single player oriented games such as Final Fantasy XIII? Many would argue now that a great game must include a multiplayer mode. This definitely keeps a game to be continuously played in a community with others. Gamers participate in either going against each other or teaming up and playing against computers, it really depends on what game is being played. Gamers are able to compare stats and try to compete in being the best. The problem with multiplayer is gamers would need a internet access point and a fast internet provider in order to participate on the online modes, but many should have home access to the net these days.
Many original games were single player oriented and they were great. Now a days there are not too many games out there with an amazing single player mode anymore. Only some games such as God of War 3 or the Grand Theft Auto series can hold their own in this category. I believe it is harder to come up with a great single player without important elements such as an enriched story line, memorable characters, and most importantly game play. The downfall is you can only play the same game so many times. This is when the multiplayer would come into play and add more fun to the action. So what would gamers prefer? What makes a game great? Is it a great campaign mode or an everlasting online multiplayer mode?
