Batman is back

I hope everyone loved the Batman Arkham Asylum game because they are coming back with the sequel, Arkham City. The first game was one of the best Batman games of all time. It is definitely a fun game and the story line was great. I for one am looking forward to this new game.

This game will have new villains and a lot of new story for us to get our hands onto. This game plans to be released in the fall of 2011 so it will still be a while. But for those who never played the first one i suggest you do and be ready for the sequel. Also it will hold you down for your batman craving before the third movie is released.

Human Revolution

There is a new Deus Ex game coming out. This will be the third one in the series. I am not sure if it is a reboot or an actual third installment. It is being produced by Square Enix and developed by Edios. The game so far looks pretty amazing. It is a first person shooter that takes place in the future after a big type of apocalyptic event.

It is set to be released in 2011. So far it looks like a very nice action packed game with alot of movie elements. The game definately will be something to look out for.

Violent Videogames Causing Gamers To Lash Out?

Here is an on going controversy, some say that videogames cause violence. I definately do not support that statement. It is honestly a great stress reliever if anything where you can act out violence in games and better in games then in reality. There are so many issues and many politicians and certain people are trying to ban certain games from being released. Some laws are already made such as no one under 17 years old can purchase a mature game without proper ID. Eventually they may not allow some games to ever be released due to its content. But this is pretty much freedom of speech and if you can say videogames are causing certain violence then you can say the same for movies, tv shows, and even some cartoons. So please let me know how you feel about this issue my fellow gamers!

Red Dead Zombiefied

For one of Rockstars new memorable games, they release a great downloadable content. For those who are into the whole zombie frenzy, players should check this out. For something thats worth $10 or 800 Microsoft points, owners of Red Dead Redemption won't be unsatisfied. This extra downloadable content gives 6+ extra single player hours leaving players to roam the West but infested with zombies. With extra multiplayer content and extra outfits this extra content will leave players having fun. Even thought it is not a completely new game it gives an extra twist playing this game again.

Goldeneye 007 Wiimake?

It seems like the company Activision that holds the gaming right to the Bond series decided to make a new James Bond game for the Nintendo Wii. With the title of the Nintendo 64 classic Goldeneye, many fans assume its a remake. That is not the case. The company decided to make this game that captures a good amount of the essence of the original classic.

This time they replaced the Pierece Brosnan, James Bond with the new Daniel Craig. The game may not be the prettiest FPS out there but is definitely a fine made game for the Wii. Probably one of the best FPS games for the Wii but also its a pretty fun experience. Besides a new storyline with some similar things of the old classic, they bring back the multiplayer fun. Gamers can either go have a split screen game action or go online and play against other players.

Though this game may not change the genre of FPS like its N64 one, this game is fun and has a lot to offer.  This game may not be on par with Call of Duty series but it has its own style and gameplay. Many may pass on this game but for those who own a Wii should give this game a try, it is how FPS should be played on the Wii.

Kirby has a new look!

Kirby's Epic Yarn Screenshot
I like the old games of Kirby, your a pink blob who suck enemies up and gain their powers. Well this time Nintendo decides to go differently with Kirby. I never played this game but I am definately interested. The style alone makes me think that it is pretty interesting. The new look is very colorful and appealing. Kirby's Epic Yarn Screenshot
Because of the new style, the traditional way of playing Kirby is not in the game. He cannot consume enemies and take their powers in the same manner. Though this game definately looks like its mainly for kids the game has recieved many high reviews and is definately a new approach for this game. I hope to get my hands on it and try it out. It is very great that Nintendo would try to be different in all their games but I think this one game definately stands out in being different and new.

Fall Out: New Vegas

Finally the long awaited RPG has finally been released. Its predecessor Fallout 3 has received the Game of the year awards from several critics. This is a single player RPG that takes place after a nuclear apocalypse. I have yet to get my hands on this new game. But so far it has received good reviews maybe not as spectacular as its predecessor. It is a remarkable game that deserves to be checked out. Look out for when I talk more about this awesome game and hopefully get my hands on it.

Single Player Vs. Multiplayer

Many console games now have online multiplayer features. It seems these days a game can have a mediocre single player campaign mode but a explosive online mode. So what do many gamers consider a great game. Would it be a game with a great multiplayer mode such as Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2? Or single player oriented games such as Final Fantasy XIII? Many would argue now that a great game must include a multiplayer mode. This definitely keeps a game to be continuously played in a community with others. Gamers participate in either going against each other or teaming up and playing against computers, it really depends on what game is being played. Gamers are able to compare stats and try to compete in being the best. The problem with multiplayer is gamers would need a internet access point and a fast internet provider in order to participate on the online modes, but many should have home access to the net these days.
Many original games were single player oriented and they were great. Now a days there are not too many games out there with an amazing single player mode anymore. Only some games such as God of War 3 or the Grand Theft Auto series can hold their own in this category. I believe it is harder to come up with a great single player without important elements such as an enriched story line, memorable characters, and most importantly game play. The downfall is you can only play the same game so many times. This is when the multiplayer would come into play and add more fun to the action. So what would gamers prefer? What makes a game great? Is it a great campaign mode or an everlasting online multiplayer mode?

Let's face it, whether your an adult or child, male or female, you have at least played videogames once in your lifetime. It is almost that time of the year where gifts are given to family members, friends, or even a gift for oneself. It is this time of the year when in the videogame industry, alot of companies will release their best game for that year. It is a matter of question and preference to which game you may choose to purchase. With the many different genres and consoles which would be a good game to choose. Usually in the end one may just purchase every good game eventually. But for those on a budget, it will depend on quality and fun. Or if your a soccer fan FIFA 11 has been released. For those who want to play an action adventure game and vanquish monsters may like to check out Castlevania: Lords of Shadow or kill off zombies in a new sequel Dead Rising 2. For those who like space and aliens, the newest first person shooter that has been released Halo: Reach which is to said to be the best FPS up to date. With many reviews on the internet, customers can check out what will interest them more, but if customers want a hands on experience they should be able to download a demo on their videogame system thanks to new technology and advancement. With Christmas around the corner and I only listed a couple of great games, what would gamers choose, which company in this industry will prevail this winter?
